About Vote AVL

Vote AVL is a non-partisan movement to increase voter turnout in Asheville.

Whether we agree or disagree about how to cast our votes - we believe that our community benefits when we all vote. We believe that we can act as one community to lift up the power of voting, and in so doing, increase the power, resources, and platform of the city we care deeply about.

This campaign was the brainchild of Jenna Yarosh Wilson, owner of Patton Avenue Pet Company, and Andrew Jacke, who saw the potential for greater voter turnout and took it upon themselves to create a WNC-focused voting resource campaign, initially doing outreach through local businesses. VoteAVL is now a project of Thrive Asheville because we are dedicated to bringing people together, across lines of difference, to collaborate and move our community forward. TAKE THE POWER PLEDGE:

Businesses and nonprofits can take the "Power Pledge" and commit to allowing their employees time to vote, and making information about voting easily accessible.
